# Risk Management

As part of our ongoing commitment to protocol security, we are making the UNIW team official guardians of the PaperDAO Money Market as part of our risk management processes.

What this means is that a 3rd party (separate to core dev team) can independently pause the operations of the protocol. This is primarily done to address a scenario where an exploit is underway and a response is needed in a time bound manner. The UNIW team is located in a time zone that is almost opposite of the core Paper team. This will mean that the probability of a response which involves stopping of the protocol on an emergency basis in a time bound manner is high.

The UNIW team can now effectively do the following on the protocol:

Supply Borrow Liquidations and Withdrawals for all tokens on the market.
